2011 HIGHLIGHTS

Girls Team
2011 was a year of success for the All American Optional Program. At the Optional State Meet, All American took home 26 gold medals and had a gymnast score the highest All Around in the Level 10 session. All of our Level 8 through 10 athletes qualified to Regionals, and one Level 10 qualified to Nationals. We had a gymnast invited to the Elite Developmental Camp with the National Team Staff at the Olympic Training Center. While there, Martha Karolyi nicknamed our athlete “Utah”. She will attend the camp a second time and an Elite Qualifier this Summer. Great job Xcel, level 7, Level 8, Level 9, and Level 10 teams! Good Luck to our compulsory gymnasts still competing!

Boys Team
The All American Boys Program continued their progress with a strong 2011 season. All American teams won Level 4, Level 6 and Level 7 at the State Championships. Although we didn’t have full level 9 or 10 teams competing, we went one-two in both levels in the all around. Our Level 7 team took 2nd at Regionals, Level 6’s were third and the Level 10’s won three events (going one-two on vault and floor).  Two of the Level 10’s qualified to Nationals and one made National’s All-Around Finals (top 36). We had a gymnast compete for University of Michigan and was one of the top athletes in the NCAA on pommel horse. Our graduating Senior signed to compete with Nebraska for the 2012 season. The boys continue to prove that hard work can be fun.
