Brad & Dawn Cattermole
The Cattermoles have been an influential part of the gymnastics world for many years as athletes, coaches, judges, board members, and collegiate representatives. Their current involvement includes coaching Brigham Young University Women’s Gymnastics and running All American Gymnastics.
Brad Cattermole
Brad Cattermole grew up in Los Angeles. He competed on the 1971 BYU men's gymnastics team. Following his freshmen year, he left school to serve an LDS mission to Peru. His competitive career ended when he broke his hand in practice shortly after returning from his mission. He then took on the position of assistant coach at Brigham Young University. Brad became a gym owner in 1977 when he and his wife opened All American Gymnastics in Orem. In 1988 Brad took on the position of head coach for Brigham Young University’s Women’s Gymnastics team. Brad has successfully lead many teams to national honors, breaking many school records. Seven gymnasts have earned 17 NCAA All-America awards under his tutelage.
Dawn Cattermole
A native of Elgin, Illinois, Dawn has been directly involved with All-American Gymnastics since her and her husband established the club in 1977. When Brad was named head coach, she joined him as an Assistant Coach for the Cougars. An experienced coach and judge, Dawn Niedert Cattermole has been a respected member of the gymnastics community for over 28 years. An expert in beam and floor exercise, Dawn has coached many National Champions on beam and floor at the Junior Olympics and at Elite Nationals. In 2003, under her tutelage, Brogan Jacobsen scored the school's first perfect 10.0 on floor. In 2004, Kari Lords made 2nd team All-American, scoring a 9.900 on floor at Nationals. Since adding the role of recruiting coordinator to her duties over 8 years ago, Dawn Cattermole has been key in bringing several future stars into the Cougar fold.
Brad and Dawn Cattermole have three wonderful boys, three beautiful daughter-in-laws, and two adorable grandchildren.
